Selective hydrogenation of hydrogen peroxide in the epoxidation effluent of the HPPO process

► H2O2 can be selectively hydrogenated at the exit of HPPO epoxidation reactor. ► This methodology can safety eliminate the unreacted H2O2 in HPPO process. ► H2O2 can be completely converted in < 20 min in presence of platinum catalyst. ► The formation of byproducts from PO depends on the reaction conditions.
