Effect of promoters on the selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol over Pt/W-containing catalysts

Different promoters were introduced to Pt/WOx and Pt/WOx/Al2O3 catalysts for the selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol to 1,3-propanediol. The effects of these promoters on the hydrogenolysis performance and product selectivity were investigated and detailed comparisons were made both with and without Al2O3 supports.
