The choice of precipitant and precursor in the co-precipitation synthesis of copper manganese oxide for maximizing carbon monoxide oxidation

► The choice of precipitants and precursors has been investigated. ► Precipitants led to different crystalline phase formation of the catalysts. ► Precursors altered the amount of active sites of the catalysts. ► Suitable combination of precipitant and precursor resulted in the efficient catalyst. ► The as-prepared catalyst showed a high activity for CO oxidation (T100% = 50 °C).
