Preparation of MgO-templated carbons from waste polymeric fibres

- Mesoporous nanocarbons have been successfully produced from waste polymeric fibres.
- The carbons prepared have mesopores of 7 nm and 4.5 nm depending on the preparation procedure.
- Nanocarbons present improved characteristics compared to ACs from the same precursors.
