Stem production, light absorption and light use efficiency between dominant and non-dominant trees of Eucalyptus grandis across a productivity gradient in Brazil

► We studied the production ecology of an intensively managed Eucalyptus plantation. ► Dominant trees showed higher APAR and LUE. ► Large trees produced more wood than small trees because of greater APAR and LUE.
