Highly sensitive and selective DNA biosensor using a dumbbell-shaped bis-groove binder of bi-acetylferrocene ethylenediamine complex as electrochemical indicator

- A dumbbell-shaped DNA bis-groove binder, (AFc)2-en was synthesized.
- (AFc)2-en shows specific interaction with double-stranded DNA rather than with single-stranded DNA.
- The complex was used as an electrochemical hybridization indicator for DNA detection.
- A wide kinetic linear range and a high selectivity were obtained for the fabricated biosensor.
