CFD simulation and experimental analysis of flow dynamics and grinding performance of opposed fluidized bed air jet mill

►Air jet mill is numerically modeled, and successfully validated by experiments. ►Modeling of jet mill uses GAMBIT 2.3.16 and simulation uses FLUENT 6.3.2 software. ►The effects of operating parameters on the performance of the jet mill are analyzed. ►The complex grinding events in the jet mill could be visualized by the simulation. ►The numerical results are found in good agreement with the experimental results.
