Investigation of thermal properties of the volatile carbonyl compounds of rhenium Re2(CO)10 and Re(CO)3(C5H5)

► We investigated thermal properties of two volatile chelates Re2(CO)10 and Re(CO)3(C5H5). ► The TG and DSC analysis for Re(CO)3(C5H5) was carried out. ► Thermal decomposition of complex vapour on heated substrate is studied. ► Temperature decencies of saturated vapour pressure were obtained. ► Complexes are viable precursors for CVD of rhenium metal coatings.
