The effect of nanoparticles on the critical point shift for classical fluids embedded with nanostructured materials is examined. The low Global Warming Potential (GWP) industrial fluids + carbon nanotubes (CNT) systems are studied to estimate the critical point shift in the nanofluids with reference to pure components. Global phase behavior of two-component fluids with nanoparticles are analyzed and transformation from zeotropic to azeotropic state in the system R744/41 under the CNT doping is discussed.
► The presence of nanostructured materials in liquids changes their phase behavior.
► We examine critical point shift for classical fluids embedded with nanostructured materials (fullerenes and carbon nanotubes).
► The systems toluene + carbon nanotubes (fullerene) are studied to estimate the critical point shift of pure component.
► Phase equilibria of two-component fluids with nanoparticles are analyzed.
