Aerobic granular sludge formation for high strength agro-based wastewater treatment

► Aerobic granular sludge was successfully developed using POME in an SBR. ► SEM and microscopic examinations showed unique microstructure of granule. ► SBR reactor exhibited good COD, ammonia and color removal performances.
