Mechanical properties of films of latexes based on copolymers BA/MMA/DAAM and BA/MMA/VEOVA-10/DAAM and the corresponding self-crosslinked copolymers using the adipic acid dihydrazide as crosslinking agent

► Static and dynamic mechanical properties of films obtained from butyl acrylate (BA)/methyl methacrylate (MMA)/diacetone acrylamide (DAAM) latexes and the crosslinked ones with adipic acid dihydrazide (ADH) in ambient temperature were studied. ► Static and dynamic mechanical properties of films obtained from BA/MMA/vinyl neo-decanoate (VEOVA-10)/DAAM latexes and the crosslinked ones with ADH ambient temperature were studied. ► The influence of the stabilizing system and the crosslinking system was discussed. A polymerizable surfactant gave the best results and valuable results were obtained to help formulators to design similar systems.
