Thermal stability and phase transformation of TiO2 nanowires at various temperatures

► Synthesis of TiO2 nanowires by simple hydrothermal method. ► The influence of annealing temperature was investigated. ► FESEM showed TiO2 nanowires maintain their structures up to certain temperature. ► As-prepared nanowires transformed to anatase structure at 500 °C. ► At 900 °C, nanowires transform into rod-shaped rutile structure.
