One-pot synthesis of surface functionalized spherical silica particles

- Surface-grafted SiO2 particles are prepared in a modified sol-gel method at r.t.
- Simpler one-pot procedure, performed without surfactant or much organic solvent.
- Aminopropyl-, isobutyl- and octyl-grafted particles show different hydrophobicity.
