Effect of gold nanoparticles on the photocatalytic efficiency of ZnO films

- A simple method for preparation of ZnO/Au thin film photocatalysts is proposed.
- ZnO and ZnO/Au films are characterized by AFM, XRD and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- ZnO/Au films have higher photocatalytic efficiency under UV and Vis illumination.
