Photodegradation of Orange II by ZnO and TiO2 powders and nanowire ZnO and ZnO/TiO2 thin films

- Vertically oriented uniform ZnO nanowires of high density are grown on glass.
- The ZnO films are prepared by 2-step procedure: seeding and growth of nanowires.
- The photocatalytic action of ZnO and TiO2 doped ZnO nanowire films is compared.
- The TiO2 doped ZnO films exhibit significant rise in the photocatalytic efficiency.
