New sorbic-type quaternary ammonium single-chain and gemini polymerizable surfactants: Synthesis, interfacial properties and anti-electrostatic activity

► We synthesized new class of polymerizable cationic monomeric and Gemini surfactants. ► We conducted tensiometric and conductometric studies, we also measured anti-electrostatic properties. ► In order to modify the surface of polymers we photopolymerized surfmeric layers on polymers. ► The effect of modification was better for polypropylene fabric than for polyethylene. ► The dependence between spacer length and interfacial properties and anti-electrostatic ability were suggested.
