Facile synthesis of vaterite core-shell microspheres

▶ Vaterite core-shell microspheres are synthesized through a facile way. ▶ Crystal phase of calcium carbonate is transferred from calcite to vaterite. ▶ Hexagonal plates are attributed to adsorption of ammonia and re-crystallization.
