Fabrication and study of fouling characteristics of HDPE/PEG grafted silica nanoparticles composite membrane for filtration of Humic acid

- Fabricated silica NPs by Stober method were grafted by poly(ethylene glycol).
- NPs embedded HDPE microporous mixed matrix membrane (MMMs) were synthesized.
- Antifouling properties and HA rejection of fabricated membranes were improved.
- Water flux of MMMs membrane were much improved.
- The impact of coagulation pretreatment on membrane performance was investigated.
