In the present paper, a unified thermal lattice Boltzmann equation (TLBE) based on multiple-relaxation-time (MRT) model, which can simulate conjugate heat transfer in anisotropic media directly without any additional modification, is derived. A series of test cases containing both steady and transient conjugate heat transfer with flat or curved interfaces are calculated to validate the unified MRT-TLBE. The results show that the equation performs well in simulating conjugate heat transfer in anisotropic media. It is feasible for both steady and transient conjugate hear transfer problems with flat or curved interfaces. In addition, the comparisons between the calculated results of the present equation and those of the finite volume method (FVM) indicate that the unified MRT-TLBE has better continuity than FVM in simulating conjugate heat transfer in anisotropic media.
