Steady laminar assisted mixed convection normally to a heated horizontal plate with finite length

► The flow normal to a heated flat plate is considered. ► The governing parameters are the Reynolds, Richardson and Prandtl number. ► The influence of these parameters on the results is investigated. ► The results in the downward are greater than that in the upward facing plate. ► For Pr → ∞ the drag and the wake length approach the values of forced convection.
