Using biochemical system to improve cinnabar dissolution

► Cinnabar dissolution in shake flask and biochemical reactor was described. ► The optimal dilution rate and iron were 0.4/h and 2-3 g/L in reactor. ► Cinnabar dissolving has relation to bioprocess of A. ferrooxidans and iron concentration. ► The technique may be a feasible and economical method in application.
