▸ GH family classification does not predict degradation products of enzymes. ▸ Protein structure can explain differences within a GH family. ▸ Detailed analysis is necessary to draw correct conclusions on enzyme efficiency. ▸ Solubility & molecular structure of substrate are important for enzyme performance. ▸ A CBM is not always beneficial in degradation of soluble and insoluble substrates.
