Enhanced production of thrombinase by Streptomyces venezuelae: Kinetic studies on growth and enzyme production of mutant strain

► Mutation was implemented for enhanced thrombinase production. ► Kinetics for Dissolved oxygen level was incorporated. ► Assimilable carbon was determined for both wild and mutant strain. ► The effect of S0/X0 ratio on specific consumption rate and specific thrombinase production rate was analyzed. ► Increased consumption and production rate were obtained with increased S0/X0 ratio.
