Preparation and heavy metal ions biosorption of graft copolymers from enzymatic hydrolysis lignin and amino acids

► Novel graft copolymers from enzymatic hydrolysis lignin and amino acids were prepared. ► The graft copolymers were used as biosorbents of Cu(II) and Co(II) ions. ► The biosorption processes of Cu(II) and Co(II) ions onto graft copolymers were endothermic. ► The use of graft copolymers could effectively remove Cu(II) and Co(II) ions.
