- The effectiveness of flame retardants in extrusion coated paper was studied.
- The extrusion temperatures were 260-290 °C and PE coating weights 12.9-25.0 g/m2.
- Halogen-free flame retardants based on azoalkanes gave the best results.
- The runnability on a pilot scale extrusion coating machine was flawless.
