A simple and portable device for the quantification of TNF-α in human plasma by means of on-chip magnetic bead-based proximity ligation assay

This manuscript describes the on-chip quantification of Tumour Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) within the clinical relevant range of 5-100 pg/mL in human plasma by means of a magnetic bead-based proximity ligation assay (PLA). The TNF-α-DNA template complex was amplified by qPCR on a microfluidic setup developed in-house.
