Immunosensor with fluid control mechanism for salivary cortisol analysis

► A new design for a cortisol immunosensor with a fluid control mechanism is proposed. ► The sensor allows for quantitative analyses of salivary cortisol levels. ► The measurement is accomplished within 35 min and the sensor can be reused. ► We report the accuracy of the sensor for human salivary cortisol levels.
