Photonic crystals on copolymer film for bacteria detection

► Photonic crystals were produced using nano-imprint lithography. ► Photonic crystals were coated with a multi-functional copolymer film. ► L. pneumophila antibodies were immobilized and interrogated with reflection spectroscopy. ► Immunochips detected L. pneumophila with an LOD of 200 cells/mL. ► Immunochips were characterized using fluorescence microscopy.
