Forebrain-specific constitutively active CaMKKα transgenic mice show deficits in hippocampus-dependent long-term memory

► We created forebrain-specific constitutive active CaMKKα transgenic mice. ► Phosphorylation of CaMKI was increased in these mice. ► These mice showed impairment in long-term spatial memory in the Barnes circular maze. ► Long-term memory in the contextual fear conditioning was also impaired in these mice.
