► About two-thirds of the major tsunamis in the study areas occurred in southeastern Asia. ► About two-thirds of the major events are expected to generate tsunamis greater than 4 m ► Japan faces the highest tsunami hazard followed by Indonesia and the Philippines. ► The maximum simulated tsunami heights for above 3 regions are 40 m, 30 m and 7 m. ► Myanmar and Pakistan had no great tsunami recently and the simulated tsunami is 10 m
