Institutionnalisation de l'éthique en santé : entre sciences des organisations et puissances de l'imaginaire

Numerous ethical committees and focus groups have been formed in health establishments that have permitted the implementation of an instituted ethics that underpins legitimate objectification. But faced with the agonistic conflicts encountered by health care, the deployment of ethical reflection approached uniquely in this way can lead to the establishment of a procedural ethics that underpins the curing machine that ends up functioning for itself. This is why instituted ethics must be complemented by an instituting ethics which is closer to the imaginary individual and collective. The latter should help to reintroduce the event as the opening up of the field of possibilities, without it being systematically flattened by the hospital structure and thus transformed into an adverse event that it will then take action to eradicate using a risk management initiative. Thinking of the institutionalization of ethical reflection consists of being open to debate, since not having the truth at one's disposal and of inventing other things, would find its zenith at a sublime point of “adjourned dialectical synthesis”. This sublime point type ethics is the result of a “non-coincidence” of input from the instituted and the instituting, from the cynical and the rogue, the determined and the indeterminate, between theory and practice, from the continuous and the discontinuous, the structure and the event.
