Self-similar blowup solutions to the 2-component Degasperis-Procesi shallow water system

► We construct the self-similar solutions of the Degasperis-Procesi water system. ► The corresponding Emden equation determines the life of the solutions. ► The results are similar to the ones obtained for the Camassa-Holm equations.
