Geographical origin identification of Romanian wines by ICP-MS elemental analysis

► Elemental analysis represents tools to differentiate wines based on their origins. ► We investigate the metal profile of authentic wine from several Romanian vineyards. ► Mn, Cr, Sr, Ag and Co represents indicators for discrimination strategy. ► The results are the starting point to build a database for the Romanian wines. ► The methodology will help to prevent fraudulent practices in wine industry.
