La leishmaniose canine à Leishmania infantum : données actuelles sur une zoonose négligée

Between 410 and 620 human clinical cases are observed per year in Europe, mainly in immunocompromised people. Serological prevalence in dogs is about 10% in endemic areas but large variations exist. The diagnosis is difficult because the clinical presentation of canine leishmaniosis is highly variable with various atypical forms. The laboratory diagnosis is essential in the confirmation of the disease, the therapeutic decision and the follow-up of the dog.
