Les tests de diagnostic rapide en biochimie médicale : intérêts, limites et dangers

Rapid Diagnostic Tests (or RDT) in biochemistry are sometimes analyses for critical care testing, with or without care organized by the laboratory, or tests targeted to the patient for self-control. They concern emergency or first aid nursing, as for diabetes nursing, diagnosis of pregnancy and determination of cardiac markers in some cases. But, often these RDT are just for comfort or are not completely evaluated by biologists and physicians, as for fertility tests, tests for detection of cancer (except those organized by preventive medicine), or even for evaluation of kidney function. Mini-laboratories can now analyze at least 30 parameters in only some minutes, but they have not been globally studied and could lead medical biology to uncertain directions. Biologist, keep your eyes open! If some RTD seem to be useful or inescapable, it is not the case for some others for which we do not know exactly the limits and the risks.
