La chlamydiose aviaire : nouvelles espèces et conséquences

The recent description of new chlamydia species, all isolated from birds, justifies a re-evaluation of the epidemiology and pathogenesis of avian chlamydiosis, since it involves more species than Chlamydia psittaci, which has traditionally been regarded as the sole causative agent. Pathogenicity and virulence of the new strains remain to be determined, both for animal and man.
