Diagnostic biologique des onychomycoses : prééminence de l'examen direct

The different methods of direct microscopic examination of biological samples to diagnose onychomycosis are critically reviewed with documentary evidence. A simplified and very sensitive technique of staining (PAS adapted from Hotchkiss and MacManus) is then proposed.
