Diagnostic des parasitoses hépatiques

Different parasites are located in the liver. Hepatic flukes are only in biliary system. The cestodes, as Echinococcus granulosus and E. multilocularis are mostly in the liver but other organs can be infested. The outcome of intestinal schistosomiasis is possible to a periportal fibrosis. Larva migrans are caused by the migration of nematodes of animals. Hepatic amoebiasis is due to the passage of amoebae E. histolytica through the intestine which provoke an abcess. Some other parasites (leishmania) have a diffuse distribution in the organism, including the liver, or must go into the liver before penetrating into the red blood cells. Diagnosis of these parasitosis is established by ultrasound and serodiagnosis.
