Novel cholinesterase modulators and their ability to interact with DNA

- We studied selected cholinesterase modulators - oximes with calf thymus DNA.
- The binding constants were determinate from titrations (K = 3.5 × 104 to 1.4 × 105 M−1).
- Electrophoretic techniques proved that ligand 2 inhibited topoisomerase I (5 μM).
