- C analysis in steel is performed by using ps Nd:YAG laser.
- Penning-like energy transfer from metastable excited He atoms to C atoms.
- C I 247.8 nm emission is much stronger than interfering Fe emission.
- Analysis by Zaytsev et al. are only true for the case that they considered
- C I 247.8 nm emission line is chosen for an analytical line and we confirmed that there is no disturbing Fe
