Flower-like α-Ni(OH)2 with special stacking faults and turbostratic disorder structure were synthesized through facile one-step hydrothermal process. Then oversaturated-gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were innovatively decorated on α-Ni(OH)2 to improve the electrical conductivity and selectivity of Ni(OH)2. Based on this, we have scientifically mixed β-cyclodextrins functionalized rGO (β-rGO) which has high dispersivity and electrochemical properties with AuNPs@α-Ni(OH)2 proportionately to reduce the interparticle resistance of AuNPs@α-Ni(OH)2 as 2 dimensional electron transport channels and improve the film-forming ability of the nanocomposites to form stable 3 dimensional network structure. Non-enzymatic glucose sensor modified by drop-casting the resultant 3D AuNPs@α-Ni(OH)2/β-rGO nanocomposite on the surface of glass carbon electrode possessed high reproducibility and excellent sensitivity ascribed to the tailorable synergistic effect of the 3D nanocomposite with controlling nanoscale composition and architectures.247
