Aptamer-capture based assays for human neutrophil elastase

► Aptamer-based assays for human neutrophil elastase (HNE) are developed. ► HNE is detected through the affinity capture and the subsequent HNE-catalyzed conversion of substrates to products. ► Aptamer modified beads and aptamer modified microplates are used as affinity solid supports. ► The use of chromogenic substrate allows simple absorbance detection and colorimetric detection. ► The use of fluorogenic substrate enables the sensitive fluorescent detection.
