CuS nanoparticles as a mimic peroxidase for colorimetric estimation of human blood glucose level

► CuS NPs from a water soluble precursor complex and characterized by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis spectra. ► The NPs shows peroxidase activity, catalytic oxidation of TMB, Michaelis-Menten kinetics. ► Act as colourimetric glucose sensor for the estimation of human blood glucose level. ► The possible pathway of the glucose catalytic process has been discussed. ► The active species OH, was detected by TA photoluminescence probing techniques.
