Lead biomonitoring in different organs of lead intoxicated rats employing GF AAS and different sample preparations

► The application of the developed methods gave new information on lead bioaccumulation in rats. ► Lead accumulation occurred mainly in the bones but other tissues were also involved in this process. ► Animals seemed to adapt themselves to lead exposure: lead accumulation did not increased so much.
