Simultaneous determination of flavonoid analogs in Scutellariae Barbatae Herba by β-cyclodextrin and acetonitrile modified capillary zone electrophoresis

► The migration behavior of flavonoids facilitated by β-CD and ACN in CZE was studied. ► β-CD played as a host with high selectivity for the separation of flavonoids in CZE. ► Hydroxyl substituent at C-ring of analyte significantly influenced selectivity. ► About 2% ACN can improve peak resolution in real sample without affecting selectivity. ► The method was validated and recommended for quality control of herb and extract.
