► A good alternative for the iodate determination in table salt was proposed. ► A micro-flow-batch analyzer (μFBA) with solenoid micro-pumps was used. ► The high sampling rate, low-cost, and reduced reagent consumption was obtained. ► Precision and accuracy compatible with the conventional method (USA, EU, Brazil).
