A novel exonuclease III-aided amplification assay for lysozyme based on graphene oxide platform

► A simple, low cost and sensitive fluorescent biosensor was presented. ► Signal amplification strategy based on exonuclease III was employed. ► Fluorescence quenching was performed based on graphene oxide (GO) platform. ► Labeling of fluorophore/quencher pairs is not needed. ► This method can be expanded to detect other proteins, small molecules, DNAs.
