Micellar electrokinetic chromatography method for the simultaneous determination of furanic compounds in honey and vegetable oils

► Separation of six furanic compounds was for the first time reported. ► Separation was conducted using MEKC. ► Method is applicable in different foodstuff matrices (honey and vegetable oils). ► 2-F and 5-HMF are the most abundant furanic compounds in honey samples. ► Proposed method is simple and fast.
