Aliphatic and aromatic amines in atmospheric aerosol particles: Comparison of three ionization techniques in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and method development

► Development of complete validated methodology for the determination of 19 amines. ► Ambient 30 nm and total suspended aerosol particles were used as natural samples. ► The derivatization of the amines was accelerated by ultrasounds. ► The superiority of ESI over APCI and APPI was demonstrated for the target compounds. ► 13 amines were quantified for the first time in 30 nm aerosol particles.
