Use of tetraethylenepentamine-functional Fe3O4 magnetic polymers for matrix solid phase dispersion extraction and preconcentration of Cr(VI) in water samples at ultratrace levels

► We synthesized tetraethylenepentamine-functional Fe3O4 magnetic polymers (TEPA-NMPs). ► We proposed an effective MSPD procedure with TEPA-NMPs materials. ► We found the TEPA-NMPs had strong ability for preconcentration of Cr(VI). ► We discussed in detail the preconcentration conditions of Cr(VI). ► We proposed a novel MSPD-FAAS method for the analysis of Cr(VI) at ultratrace levels.
